It was to be a replica of the original model. There is a good bit of reference of it and luckily a front on shot to get proportions.

The difficult part was to work out how big it was, but recently found images showed the model with someones arm in shot  over it, this gave us the size.

This model started as a series of wooden boxes to get proportions looking right.

I enlarged a front on picture to the correct size and used this as something to measure from.

There was still a bit of going back and forth with the client until we were both happy with the overall look.

It was packed in a box to ship to London, with other things and a forklift driver drove the fork through the box. Blind luck, he missed everything in the box and just got the packing.
